Frequently asked questions

Why isn't it free like Honey or other shopping extensions?

“Free” shopping extensions are paid by someone — usually through ads, affiliate commissions, or selling your browsing data, all of which bias what they show you. At launch, Shortlist This will take no money from sellers and collect no shopping data, so the business model is simple: pay once ($24.90) and own Pro for life. The core clean-up will remain free forever.

Is Shortlist This affiliated with Amazon?

Shortlist This is an independent browser extension and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Amazon.

Does it use AI or send my searches anywhere?

No. The analysis is deterministic — explicit parsing and scoring rules, the same result for the same page every time — and it runs entirely in your browser. The only network traffic is license checkout and validation with our payment provider, which carries just the product code, a random installation ID, and the email you provide. Never your searches, products, or shortlists.

What exactly is free forever?

At launch, the free version will include hiding sponsored listings, grouping duplicate products, the neutral transparent ranking with full score breakdowns and explanations, every sorting mode, and the top 3 of the ranked shortlist. Pro will add your own requirement filters and the full top 5–10 shortlist.

How does the Pro trial work?

At launch, you will get 3 free searches that use Pro filters. A trial search will only be counted when your filters actually run and return at least one product. Re-running or adjusting filters on the same search will stay free, and free clean-up runs will never consume the trial.

Which sites does it work on?

Amazon.com and Amazon.de search result pages. It analyzes only the product cards already loaded on the page you opened, and only after you click the button.

Your next search deserves a shortlist.
